Attending Boston University was something we were supposed to do together, until Shaw Masters, my brother’s best friend, broke my heart and chased our dream without me.

Choosing bromance over romance, Shaw is now living his best life, playing hockey for the Boston Terriers while I’ve wasted a year letting my shattered heart rob me of my future.

But not anymore.

Now, also attending B.U., I’m determined to forget he exists.

Who cares if he’s everywhere I turn with his familiar, lingering gaze drawing me in?

Who cares if his presence stirs up old feelings best forgotten?

He might be the goalie, but it’s my turn to block him from gliding back into my heart.

MARY’s 5 STAR REVIEW

Jacob never ceases to amaze me and Blocked is one of his best books yet!! It is a forbidden brother’s little sister who grows up with the biggest curve of all. Shaw Master and Maddie Winters’ older brother, Marshall are best friends. Both Marshall and Shaw are members of the hockey team at BU. Through the years Marshall and Shaw have always kept a protective eye out for Maddie. As Maddie is nearing her high school graduation Shaw seems to be noticing her a little bit more. The only problem is that Marshall will go ballistic if he touches Maddie!!

Needless to say, both Marshall and Shaw are home for the summer. Shaw is beginning to Maddie less as his friend’s kid sister and more of the gorgeous woman she is becoming. The thing is that Shaw has no idea that Maddie has been crushing on him for a while!! With Marshall leaving for his job at summer camp neither will act on it until after he leaves.

But once he is gone, they start hanging out together, finding out just how much they like spend time together. Making future plans for when they go back to BU in the fall. Shaw is so sweet and kind with Maddie and their feelings begin to grow but there is something that they need to do before this goes any further. Shaw needs to talk to Marshall about him and Maddie. Easier said than done, Shaw ends up getting gun shy and fails to stand up to Maddie’s brother and ends up breaking her heart.

It is eighteen months later. Maddie has transferred to BU for classes she needs to take. Her and Shaw have not seen each other since they broke it off. This time around Shaw knows he is going to have to pull out all the stops if he is going to win Maddie back. He also knows that he will have to man up to Marshall too.

But would Shaw be able to find his way back into Maddie’s heart once again?

Loved this book!! Can hardly wait to see what Jacob has up his sleeve for us next!!
