I always get excited when there is a new book from Kim Karr is announced. With a title like No Pants Required you know this is going to be a fun read. NPR is a quick, light hearted, scorching hot with tons of side splitting laughs. The perfect book for a day at the beach while you soak up the sun.
After a bad break up with her fiancé Makayla is ready for a change. What better way to do that than to move from New York to live with her BFF in California? Not only is she ready for a change but her BFF, Maggie, is going to help her along. So Maggie sends Makayla a list with 10 task, all outside of her comfort zone. So grabbing her book and her iPad she boards the plane to Cali.
Still reeling from the death of his brother as well as finding his girlfriend hooking up with his dad. Cam Waters need to get away and find himself. Lining up a summer job in Cali will allow him the time he needs to figure what he wants to do.
Makayla and Cam meet on their flight to California. Cam is hotter than hell and so not the kind of guy that Makayla would imagine herself with. There is a chemistry right away between the two of them. Just being in his presences with his alpha tendencies and that sexy voice have Makayla heating right up. Could Cam be her ticket to the mile-high club? I’ll never tell!
And then fate steps in throwing these two hotties together. What are the chances that Cam and Makayla end up being neighbors!! You got it, Cam is living next door to Maggie. Not only that but Maggie and Cam work together lifeguarding.
This close proximity leads to more funny moments. Their attraction felt real and damn if these two didn’t steam it up.
Would this budding romance turn into something more?
NPR was a fun book with tons of laugh out loud moments. And believe me there’s definitely plenty of sexy time too!! Kim did a brilliant job of writing a truly sexy, sweet and funny romance.
