Screwmates is now my absolute, all-time favorite Kayti McGee book. I love Kayti‘s unique style of humor that is definitely going to keep you in stitches and flipping the pages. Her combination of the awkwardness and banter between Marc and Madison make this book crazy, funny, good as well as deliciously sexy. A delightfully funny yet sweet story of two unlikely roommates.

Marc and Madison become roommates of convenience when Madison is deserted by her former roomies. Marc a student, who’s finishing up his doctorate and is soon to become a professor. Madison is an artist, who works the night shift, making silkscreens tee-shirts, so they seldom see each other. That is until one evening when a busted water pipe sends Madison home from work.

So, here’s the deal. Madison has always been crazy attracted to Marc and him being one of her BFF’s cousin she has not wanted it to cause any unnecessary weirdness. But this all comes to a screeching halt when Madison is sent home from work due to the busted water pipe.

Armed with a bottle of bourbon, finding Marc in his boxers on the couch and quickly joining him in her undies let the fun begin. The mixture of bourbon and awkwardness lead to serious make out session. Not only that, but Madison found herself waking up naked in bed with Marc the next morning. Plus, the realization that they had seemed to cross the line of being just being roommates.

But the growing attraction Madison has for Marc leads to a lustful game of seduction. And holy moly if the slow burn between them doesn’t lead to a fiery inferno. And let me tell you that even though Marc is a brainiac there is no way that you will not swoon about him!

Would that one night be enough for these two?
