SYNOPSIS:
Baseball shouldn’t be a game of life and death…
The summer that Chase Stern entered my life, I was seventeen. The daughter of a legend, the Yankees were my family, their stadium my home, their dugout my workplace. My focus was on the game. Chase…he started out a distraction. A distraction with sex appeal poured into every inch of his six foot frame. A distraction who played like a God yet partied like a Devil.
I tried to stay away. I couldn’t.
Then, the team started losing.
Women started dying.
And everything in my perfect world broke apart.

Mary’s 5 Star Review

Brilliant!  Unforgettable! Sexy! Heart breaking!

Moonshot is one of those books that you can’t and won’t put down until you finish it.  Moonshot was so much more than just a love story.  It’s a story of first love, forbidden love and second chances, with a healthy dose of sports, suspense and OMG.  Not only does it run the full gamut of emotions but you are totally invested in this story from the get-go.

Ty Rollins is the daughter of famous NY Yankee closer, Frank Rollins.  Baseball was her life…she lived, breathed and bleed Yankee blue.   She had grown up traveling with her Dad and the team after the death of her mom at the age of seven.  She was as much a part of the team as the players.

In all fairness I have to mention Frank Rollins.  Although baseball was his life, Ty was every bit as important.   Choosing to keep her close to him was a no brainer.  The two were a package deal and it was only natural that the team became her family.  So much a part of the Yankee family that she even became their batgirl.  I loved his character so much.  Loving and protective yet the friendship he and Ty had was amazing and close.

Then there was Chase Stern, baseball super star and bad boy. A naturally talented, power hitter whose choices seem to get him in trouble.  When caught messing around with a teammates wife, finds her husband at the end of his fist and his manager at the door, he finds himself being traded.  Traded to the team that he had always dreamed of playing for, the New York Yankees.

Going to the Yankees was a chance for a new start.  To clean up his act and conform to the Yankee’s higher standard of conduct.  It was also a chance for the Yankee’s to get a shot in the arm, when they were slumping, by this Golden Boy.  But could Chase change his bad boy ways?

While Ty and Chase’s meeting was less than cordial it was easy to see that Ty was a bit caught up with his super star status.  But it didn’t take long for Chase to become intrigued with Ty either.  Here was this gorgeous young blond that lived and breathed baseball, lest not forget that she had an arm on her too!  The only problems were she was 17 and her dad was Frank Rollins!

I loved the friendship that developed between Chase and Ty and with her eighteenth birthday that was no longer an issue.  As friendship became more you couldn’t help but love their sweet banter, the chemistry hot and stolen moments.  I’ll be damned if Chase didn’t steal my heart!  For the first time in his life someone had looked into his soul.  Not only that but was truly interested in him as a person, not the super star.   Chase was in love with Ty.  Yep, you guessed it.  Ty is right there with him, she is in love with him.

Just as they’re ready to go public with their relationship all hell breaks loose.  Then a momentary lapse in judgement, by Chase, looks like deceit when seen by Ty, it rocks her world.  This leads to an unfortunate and untimely decision by her.   But as the smoke begins to clear and the truth begins to surface it’s too much for Chase.  Once again he is in hot water and finds the Yankees trading him.

But what happens when four years later the Yankees bring Chase Stern back to the Yankees?

Are the feelings once shared by Chase and Ty still there?  Or have they both moved on?

There is so much more that happens in Moonshot and I truly want to share!  But you know, I really don’t want to spoil it for you.  Alessandra Torre has such a way of weaving all the pieces of the puzzle together that once you finish you are left pretty much speechless!!

Absolutely a must read but I get first dibs on Chase!
