Leave it to Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone to come up with one hot a$$ story. We love both of these women and their dirty hot books and boy did they not disappoint. Porn Star is a deliciously hot, sexy, angst filled read! At times it seriously tugged at my heartstrings. I totally loved the characters and holy S**t was Logan O’Toole the next best thing to spanks!!
Logan was main character in Porn Star who did exactly what the book suggest…he starred in porn movies. Yeah, Logan is cocky, handsome, self-confident but he also turns out to be a really good guy! Like really nice, the kind of man who treats women with kindness and respect. I’m sure there are a lot of guys who envy what he does professionally, plus I can say that Logan enjoyed his job too. Could you even imagine being in Logan’s place…sex and your choice of women at your disposal, at work?
Devi Dare, was really kind of a free spirit. OMG, and her parents were really out there too. I mean her mother doing “nude yoga”…better to be left unseen or be scarred by the sight! I liked Devi …a lot! She did things her own way, hit or miss, and made no excuses for her decisions. Devi clearly had a method to her madness and followed that plan.
Now, here is the deal with Devi. She and Logan had been in a movie together a while back in a ménage type film. Although there had been nothing physical between them in the movie or otherwise they still kind of had a thing about each other. Logan had not been able to think of anyone but Devi since that time. She not only occupied his thoughts but pretty much became his obsession!
Now, to the good part! I loved the banter between Logan and Devi, you could clearly see that they would be awesome as a couple. Despite Logan’s insecurities, it was freakin crazy to see how hard Logan had to push to convince Devi to work with him. Would these two be able to work together again? What happens when the art of acting collides with matters of the heart? Will they find their happy place?
Porn Star was so much more than a hot read about adult film making. It made you stop and realize that these people who work in this industry are just like us. It’s truly not on great big sex-capade. They have the same everyday dilemmas that we do. The struggle of finding the balance of work and true happiness… Especially when your happiness might just be with someone you work with.
