========================================================================

You live in Boston.  Nathan and Adele live in Boston.  Did setting the location of your books in Boston aid in writing their story?

At first, yes. My life is very different than theirs, and I wanted a thread of familiarity for me when writing my first book.

I’m a huge sucker for a complicated, sexy, angsty, hot as hell romance.  Nathan and Adele most assuredly fit that niche.  How difficult was it for you to tie everything together?  Is there a method to keeping details straight?

I wish I had a complicated organizational system that I could explain to you, but no, it’s just in my head.

Was there anything that was particularly difficult for you as you wrote Nathans and Adele’s story?

There were definitely parts of Provocative that were difficult for me, research-wise. You want your characters to be realistic, even if you’ve never experienced what they have.

I have frequently referred to Tempting and Provocative as being a duet.  In reality the Tempting Series is going to be a series of six books.  Book two is Beguiling.  This features Adele’s best friend Leo and his girlfriend Scarlet.  Would you share with us more about what we can expect in the next books?

Elias and Jack usher in a new perspective on the Tempting series. More of the male focus and some harsher subject matter.

Holy mother of all hotness Nathan and Adele were so freakin insatiable!  Damn if they didn’t leave you running for the shower.  Do you see a little of yourself in these characters?

Well, I like sex, so in that regard, yes. In all of my characters, there’s a thread of self-reflection. I think all authors use their characters as a mirror, even if their characters only have one shared trait.

Like any good movie or book you always hear about pieces that just weren’t necessary.  Did you have deleted scenes?  Are these anything that you would ever share?

Unfortunately, I don’t have any deleted scenes. I plot fairly religiously before I ever sit to write the book, with each chapter having at least two paragraphs of description. But I’d definitely be open to writing something like that in the future as a bonus scene for my readers.

What is your idea of spending a romantic evening with your significant other?  Do you pull out all the stops?

If I had a significant other at the moment, it would probably involve massage oil and whiskey. Can you tell that I need to get laid?

Did you always know you wanted to write one day?

Absolutely. Never a doubt.

There are a lot of different genres out there, what drew you to erotica?  Do you ever see yourself writing something different?  Scifi, paranormal?

No, nothing else really appealed to me. Writing erotica lets me use a part of my brain, a part of my personality that I don’t often get to show in polite public.

Does self-publishing allow you to maintain the privacy you desire? Would you ever opt for a traditional publishing deal if offered?

Doubtful, exactly for the reason you mentioned. I prefer the autonomy of being an indie author.

Reviews and word of mouth are two of the biggest tools for Author.  How important are reviews to you as an Author?  Do you read all your reviews?

I do read all of my reviews. Even the one-star reviews can help me look at my work in a different way. They’re not fun to read, of course, but I do find it helpful.

What has been the most surprising thing about writing/publishing to you?

How voracious and passionate the readers are.

What book are you reading now?

The Trespasser by Tana French.

Name something that you are really good at.

Drinking and swearing.

Tell us what you do to relax?

Drink and swear.

Is there a question that you’ve always wanted to be ask?   What is it and how would you answer it?

Not that I can think of. I’m a private person, by nature, so I rarely think about what people might ask me. I still struggle with the fact that people think I’m interesting enough to ask me things, as it is.

If there was one thing you could leave as your legacy, what would it be?

That people would be able to learn how to not be dicks to each other. Just be nice, for fuck’s sake.
