Loved this book from start to finish. TTWM is one of those books that you just can’t put down and I’ll admit that I totally devoured this book. It’s a sweet romance story with an unexpected second chance. You see Willa and Keane had known each other years earlier. Problem was that Keane didn’t remember her… and Willa kind of held a bit of resentment about what had happened between them.
Both Willa and Keane are little commitment phobic and neither one looking for any kind of relationship or commitment. Willa had aged out of the foster system and Keane growing up as a latch-key kid they had both grown up without the love and support of a “normal” family.
Willa has grown into a beautiful woman who is caring, kind and opens her heart to her friends. She has surrounded herself with a loyal group of people that are now like her family. They totally have her back and would do anything for her.
Keane is still every bit the smoking hot Adonis from high school but is even more handsome now. He can still work the sexy smirk and make Willa’s belly flip flop on sight. He is now a talented, successful business man who buys and renovates houses for resale. Burying himself in work Keane has little time for anything other than one night stands.
They were once again brought together when Keane’s Aunt Sally dropped her cat off for him to take care of for her. This cat, Pita…. short for Petunia will keep you in stitches. Petunia and Keane are kind of like oil and water. So Keane’s first task is to find somewhere to leave her while he works. And hot damn did he meet a little firecracker that stroked his interest!
Call it fate, karma, happenstance that brought these two together …. again. Willa owns and runs a pet shop and Keane has comes to her for help watching his aunt’s cat. While Willa can’t refuse caring for Aunt Sally’s cat she has to fight her salacious thoughts of Keane…. Not to mention the grudge she still holds. Trying to guard her heart and not repeat her heartbreak from earlier years Willa’s turns a cold shoulder to Keane. This leaves Keane scratching his head and trying to figure out what’s going on.
There is so much more I would love to say but then it would ruin it for you!! I will leave you with two words though…rooftop sex?
Not deterred by Willa’s chill could he win her heart?
But what happens when that cold shoulder yields to the white hot chemistry between them?
