Eight hundred and eighty days. That’s how long it’s been since my no good ex broke my heart. And I was doing just fine without him.

But now, with both of us playing hockey for Boston University and running in the same circles, I can’t seem to avoid him—no matter how hard I try.

And boy do I try.

It seems my former boyfriend is cockier than ever—if that’s even possible. He thinks by aiming his crooked, dimpled smile my way, all the pain he caused will be forgotten.

Not a chance.

No longer the same naive girl, it’ll take more than striking good looks and flirty banter to trip up my plans for the future.

I’ve got goals, and giving Donovan Archer a second chance with my heart isn’t one of them.

MARY’s 5 STAR REVEIW

Tripped is one of the BEST books from Jacob, not only that but I think that Donovan and Piper are my new favorite couple!! First of all, it is sport romance but also coming of age, first love, first heartbreak as well as a second chance. To me the story was fresh and original. Warning, you also need to be prepared for tons of feels and emotions. I loved Donovan and Piper together and as a couple they were just so sweet and connected. The way Jacob had the book in two parts was really cool taking us from past to present.

Donovan and Piper met a summer camp for ice hockey. Both were good players, serious about playing hockey and they were there to hone their skills. Yet the moment they meet there is an instant attraction between them. Donovan is so sweet caring and thoughtful that attraction doesn’t take long to turn into something more. On the other hand, growing up with an overprotective mom Piper is naïve not to mention inexperienced with boys. The more time these two spend together, the more they fall for each other, they both profess their love and are determined to make the long-distance romance continue.

But even the best made plans can go awry. Upon preparing to meet Donovan the last morning of camp Piper is given an envelope which is from Donovan. He’s already left camp without seeing her and is ending what she thought was a future with him. One that they had both panned together. Devastated she returns home with her mom heartbroken.

It’s 2 years later and Piper has now been recruited by BU to play for the Ladies Terriers. Although she is set on trying to avoid running into Donovan on campus, she realizes it will happen. Once Piper does, she makes it abundantly clear that she hasn’t forgotten how he dumped her. Furthermore, she has no interest in resuming a relationship with him. Probably one of the most endearing things in this second part of the book is Donovan and his persistence!! Once again, he is deliciously adorable!

But will all of Donovan’s attention break down the walls that Piper had up? Or will Donovan be the one left with a broken heart this time?

Tripped was an amazing book from start to finish.

Highly recommend this as a One-Click for everyone!!
